Not much today, but if you have about 15 minutes of free time, check out the headliner below.
- Justin Wilcox was on KNBR on Saturday with Patrick Connor and talked about how there is “No silver lining” to the Bears not making a bowl game, what he thinks he can do better as a coach next season, and how the Bears are doing with recruiting. The interview is only about 13 minutes long and has a lot of cool quotes. Towards the end of the interview he was asked if he considered the Oregon job, but his response was basically what Mike Silver reported at the time. If you have a Rivals membership, Trace Travers breaks down the interview further.
- The early signing period begins tomorrow, and a few recruits will sign with the Bears before February. This will hopefully put some mystery to rest. The key question is whether quarterback JT Shrout will stay with the Bears or switch to Tennessee, but he will likely not make his decision until February. DT Atonio Mafi had committed to Cal, but after his recruiter and DL coach Jerry Azzinaro moved to UCLA, he is considering moving there as well. He confirmed he will choose between Cal and UCLA tomorrow. Gorcey notes the treasure of the class will be on the offensive line, and hopefully we can get some of the 5 commits to sign tomorrow.
- Andrew Vaughn was named a Pre-season All-American by the Collegiate Baseball Newspaper. He was a bright spot of the Baseball team last year, was a reliever and a power hitter, and was named the Pac-12 Freshmen of the Year.
