It’s December and it’s recruiting season. With the California Golden Bears looking ahead to 2018, the next big news football-wise will be mostly recruiting-related.
Cal’s latest offer went out to Chris Fatiula this weekend. The San Diego (Ca.) linebacker has to be a primary target for the Bears now that tons of big targets made decisions to other rival Pac-12 schools (MJ Tafisi and Zion Tupuola-Fetui to Washington, Elijah Winston to Oregon).

The San Diego (Ca.) linebacker ranks as the 63rd best linebacker by 247Sports Composite (three-stars, 0.8265), as well as the 162nd best prospect from the state of California. Here are his highlights.
Fatilua also holds offers from Air Force, Navy, Oregon State, and Vanderbilt among his other eight. And already his Polynesian Bowl teammate Atonio Mafi has begun the push.

Cal currently has linebacking commitments from Louis Bickett, Colt Doughty and Evan Tattersall. It’s not a star-studded class, but at the moment the Bears need depth and bodies to ensure long-term stability in the mid-line. Fatilua would do well to keep building on recruiting momentum.
