1ST HALF:
Hello Colemania. Hello Cole Island. 26 points. 9-15 shooting. 3-4 from 3. 5-6 from the line. Don was allowed to get any shot he wanted against a top 5 defense in the country. Cal led by 9 going into halftime despite having Marcus Lee and Kingsley Okoroh on the bench after two quick fouls early in the game. Marcus played only 3 minutes. Kingsley only played 7 minutes. The Bears forced 11 turnovers by the Shockers and made sure they played at the tempo that the Bears wanted the game to be at. Cal held NPOY candidate Shaquille Morris to just 6 points on 3-7 shooting. Landry Shamet kept the Shockers in the game shooting 5-5 from the field and 4-4 from 3 for 15 points.

2ND HALF:
The Bears maintained their lead and pushed it to 15 early in the second half. The Shockers were not going to make this game an easy one and pushed the lead down to 9 halfway through the second. Cal’s lead disintegrated as Wichita state brought it back to win. The Bears turned the ball over way too many times after being stifiled by Gregg Marshall’s 221 Press. King and Marcus in foul trouble did not help as the young kids had to grow up quick if the Bears were going to maintain this lead. Don finished the game with 35 points on 12-25 shooting. Justice Sueing notched another career high with 20 points on 7-12 shooting and 4-6 from 3. Darius McNeill also chipped in 16 points on 4-12 shooting, 4 rebounds and 4 assists.
