It’s November. And the college football coaching carousel could already be trying to roll in and potentially take a member of the California Golden Bears coaching staff.
Ryan Gorcey is indicating that the Oregon State Beavers might have interviewed Cal offensive coordinator Beau Baldwin. Baldwin had this to say at the Thursday press conference.
“The rumors are exactly that, rumors,” says Beau Baldwin on Oregon State interview scuttlebut

Oregon State lost head coach Gary Andersen midway through the season after a dismal start to their season. Andersen generously conceded all the components of his $12.6 million buyout to leave, giving the Beavers something to work with.
As much as the Cal offense has struggled this season, it’s hard to see much upside in losing Baldwin. He’s made the most of a rag-tag bunch and helped drag Cal to the edge of bowl eligibility. I don’t see much of an upside to having Cal look for their fourth offensive coordinator in four years and having to restart from scratch in finding an assistant who can make the most with their talent. But obviously if Oregon State offers it’d be hard for Baldwin to turn the gig down.
Cal fans, thoughts on these rumors?
