NCAA Football: California at Oregon Troy Wayrynen-USA TODAY Sports

Nikko Remigio: WR, Mater Dei (Santa Ana, CA)

Remigio and the 5-0 Monarchs were on a bye this past weekend.

JT Shrout: QB, Hart (Newhall, CA)

Shrout and the Indians beat Ventura 26-0 to win consecutive games for the first time this season. Hart is 3-2 on the year. Shrout threw two touchdowns and rushed for another. He was able to hurt Ventura with his legs as well as his arm as he managed to keep several plays alive by using his mobility when the protection up front broke down.

Will Craig (OL) and Evan Tattersall (LB/RB): Granite Bay (Granite Bay, CA)

Granite Bay’s undefeated start to the season came undone in a 35-14 blowout loss at home against Folsom. Tattersall rushed seven times for 35 yards and caught four passes for 21 yards while also losing a fumble and recording six tackles. Craig managed to record a quarterback sack, two tackles, and one tackle for a loss.

Craig’s highlight is below.

Chigozie Anusiem: CB, Sonora (La Habra, CA)

Sonora’s undefeated season also came to a screeching halt this past weekend as they lost 41-21 on the road against Aliso Niguel. Sonora is now 4-1 this season. Anusiem puts a good hit on an opposition wide receiver in the highlight video below.

McCallan Castles: TE, South Tahoe (South Lake Tahoe, CA)

South Tahoe’s three-game losing-streak finally came to an end with a 42-29 win against Lowry (NV) to improve to 2-3 this season. Castles returned to his week one form with eight receptions for 136 yards and two touchdowns to propel his squad to a victory.

Omari Harris: RB/LB, Antioch (Antioch, CA)

Harris’ 4-1 Antioch squad were on a bye this past weekend.

Nick Alftin: DE, Archbishop Mitty (San Jose, CA)

Archbishop Mitty laid down the law in a 43-0 win against Archbishop Riordan to extend their winning streak to four games and improve to 4-1 this season. Alftin registered four tackles and three quarterback pressures.

Atonio Mafi: DT, Junipero Serra (San Mateo, CA)

Serra beat Bellarmine College Prep 48-0 to improve to 3-2 this season. Mafi can best be described as an absolute load for the offensive line to handle. He’s big, frequently pushes his guy back, and eats up a lot of space in the run game. He’s definitely a disruption to what the opposition is trying to do.

Miles Owens: OL, Bishop O’Dowd (Oakland, CA)

In what was always going to be a tough game to win, Bishop O’Dowd lost 45-24 on the road against national powerhouse De La Salle. The Dragons are now 3-2 this season.

Brandon Mello: OL, Clayton Valley Charter

The Ugly Eagles were on a bye this past weekend.

JH Tevis: DE, Menlo (Atherton, CA)

Menlo defeated King’s Academy 28-0 to improve to 3-2 this season. Tevis recorded three tackles and one quarterback pressure.

Jasper Friis: OL, Aquinas (San Bernardino, CA)

Friis and 5-0 Aquinas were on a bye this past weekend.

Matthew Cindric: DL, Skyline (Sammamish, WA)

Skyline beat North Creek 41-0 to improve to 3-2 this season after a slow start. Cindric slices his way into the backfield for a couple of tackles for a loss in the highlight video.

Slater Zellers: OL/LS, Notre Dame Prep (Scottsdale, AZ)

Notre Dame Prep improved to an impressive 6-0 record after recording a 28-23 victory against Chaparral.
