Crucial game for the Bears.

It’s been a long time since the California Golden Bears have been favored in a football game.

It looks as if we’ll have to wait another week.

Cal is currently situated as three point underdogs to the Colorado Buffaloes.

Both Cal and Colorado are sitting at 4-4 and 1-4 in the Pac-12. The winner is in a much better spot to make a bowl game, only needing one win in November to get to six overall.

This basically amounts to a pick’em, with Colorado getting the benefit of playing at home in Boulder. The Buffaloes have also been plenty spry in some of their defeats, losing 45-42 to Arizona and 27-23 to UCLA in Pasadena. Colorado’s lone Pac-12 win.

The Bears have been underdogs in every game they’ve played against an FBS team this year, and for the most part they’ve been double digit underdogs.

This will likely end next week, when last place Oregon State comes to Berkeley for Senior Day, but wow. It’s crazy Cal is 4-4 without being favored once in FBS play.
