We already covered how LB Jordan Kunaszyk’s play for the California Golden Bears against the Washington State Cougars earned the Walter Camp National Defensive Player of the Week. Just one day later and Kunaszyk has more honors.
Kirk Herbstreit believes that—although all Cal fans should be thankful for every minute that ESPN is willing to grant us—Cal had his fifth-best performance as a team and Kunaszyk was the fourth-best individual performance.
On top of that, Kunaszyk’s play (11 tackles, 2.5 sacks, 1 quarterback hurry, 1 interception, and 1 forced fumble) netted him two more accolades:
