Former Cal football player Lorenzo Alexander was named the Defensive MVP of the 2017 Pro Bowl! Alexander preserved the AFC win when he picked off Kirk Cousins at the AFC two-yard line with just over one minute to play. Alexander finished with nine tackles (most of either team), an interception, and a pass breakup.

He was the 2017 #ProBowl Defensive MVP!
His highlights. https://t.co/WBGwTLKmdC
Alexander became only the second former Cal football player and the first on defense to win the honor following late running back Chuck Muncie from the 1980 Pro Bowl!
This is the second career Pro Bowl for Alexander (his first was for special teams). In his 12th season, Alexander played for the Buffalo Bills in 2016 in his 12th NFL season. Alexander had season career highs in tackles (76), sacks (12.5), passes defended (6) and forced fumbles (3). He also recorded his first career interception that he returned 28 yards and started all 16 games for the first time in his career.
