It was an ugly start to what was a return to Cal Basketball in just about a week’s time. The Bears comitted 5 TOs in the first 10 minutes of the game and only made 2 shots on 10 attempts by the 11 minute mark. At one point, Cal and Furd combined had more TO’s than made FGs. At the half, Cal was tied with Furd at 25. Cal was led by Ivan Rabb who had 10 points on 4/5 shooting, 1/1 from 3, and 4 rebounds. However, His free throw percentage was terrible only knocking down 1 of his 5 attempts.
The struggles continued for both teams. But Cal jumped out to a 8 point lead 5 minutes into the half and by the under 12MIN TO, Cal was up 41-30. Cal then pushed the lead to 15 and never looked back. Ivan Rabb completed another double-double in this game, ending the night with 25 points on 7/9 shooting, 2/2 from 3 and 9/14 from the line. He also added in 13 rebounds, 2 blocks and 1 steal.
