You heard one interesting focus from Justin Wilcox in his opening press conference: Tight ends! They will be a part of the Cal offense going forward. It was a quick sign that there would be no Bear Raid on Wilcox’s team, and that Cal was going to return to their roots regarding how offense happens. (Hello Ray Hudson!)
Wilcox won’t have a lot of time to recruit for the Bears this cycle, but he does have a tight end he’s going to try and land this cycle.

Pullman (Wa.) tight end Ben Moos is the son of Washington State athletic director Bill Moos, but because Mike Leach doesn’t really recruit tight ends, Ben looked elsewhere. He committed to Utah for a month, but recently reopened his recruitment.
Moos is a three-star tight end (0.8288) by the 247Composite, ranked as the 61st best tight end and the 17th best Washington prospect. Here are his video highlights.
Now, Moos could be a post-Signing Day decision. Syracuse is apparently also in the mix and could get a visit sometime in February most likely.
Syracuse TE target Ben Moos will visit Cal this weekend, per Pullman (Wash.) HS head coach Dan Lucier. Could visit SU post-NSD.
