When Cal played Arizona in Tucson to open Pac-12 play, the presumption was that Arizona is the worst team in the conference by a solid margin. But since then the Cats have beaten Utah and Washington St. and had a couple of competitive losses to mid-conference teams. The Bears are at home and should be able to bounce back for a win, but this isn’t a game that can be taken for granted either.

Not a ton has changed for Arizona, although they have gotten reserve guard Taryn Griffey back from injury since playing Cal. It’s still all about LaBrittney Jones, with Malena Washington as a secondary scorer.
Our Computer Overlords Predict
Sagarin Predictor: Cal by 13.5 points
This is theoretically Cal’s easiest conference win of the year, and certainly their most important from an RPI-can’t-lose perspective. The Bears will be bouncing back from another really rough loss, so we’ll have to see what kind of energy they bring against a team that might be tough to get up for.
