The California Golden Bears are now down to 11 commits in their class. Athlete Michael Onyemaobi has decided to move elsewhere in his recruitment.
Both Nebraska and Washington State will be paying Onyemaobi a visit soon, and TCU (who just hired Dykes) recently offered. I suspect we will not be getting reconsidered, although he might still visit Cal. Onyemaobi is probably more likely to end up at Nebraska based on all the latest buzz. Cal athlete Jeremiah Hawkins is also scheduled to visit Nebraska.
Onyemaboi is the fourth Cal decommit since the firing of Sonny Dykes and the hiring of Justin Wilcox. Casey Roddick was the first to reopen his recruitment, followed by Je’Quari Godfrey (who flipped immediately to USC), and then Tyriq Hardimon (who has since committed to Wake Forest).
The Bears are down to 11 commits in this class, and I’m sure they’d like to get this class up to 15-16 at the very least. Three Golden Bears are on campus already (Gabe Cherry, Taariq Johnson and Elijah Hicks).
