Cal opens as four point underdogs to Texas

Shock the world!

The California Golden Bears will be underdogs for yet another week. With ranked Texas (11th in AP, 16th in Coaches Poll) coming to town, Cal finds themselves four point underdogs this Saturday night against the Longhorns. Interesting.

Cal obviously went into Texas last year and had one crazy football game last season. The Longhorns stormed out to a 24-14 lead, only to have the Bears respond with 31 straight points, only to have the Longhorns come back with 20 of their own. But Texas botched an extra point and Cal escaped Austin with the craziest of victories.

The Longhorns look much, much better than last year’s incarnation up to this point. They knocked off a top-25 talented Notre Dame at home and are heading up to Berkeley at 2-0 with most likely a good chunk of Texas support coming along for the ride. It’s going to take one of the greatest coaching jobs of Sonny Dykes’s career for the Bears to pull the upset.

Cal fans, your thoughts on the line?
