Rio 2016 Day 1 saw 16 Calympians in action from rowing, water polo, soccer, table tennis, and of course, swimming.

Day 2 will have 9 Calympians competing in just 2 sports: 2 rowers racing in repechage (elimination races) in the morning and then 7 swimmers. 4 different countries will be represented - Serbia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, and U.S.A.

More swimming is on deck for Calympians in Day 2. As many as 4 more medals can be won by the Calympians by the end of the night.

Click on the names of the Calympians to read their CGB profiles to learn more about them, particularly their Cal achievements.

Rest of Day 2 schedule for Calympians

All Times listed are in PDT.

Men’s Rowing repechage starts at 4:30 AM - CANCELLED

Marko Marjanovic (Serbia) - Double Sculls

Nareg Guregian (USA) - Coxless Pair

A Serbian pair in the Coxless Pair (so NOT Calympian Marko Marjanovic and partner) on Saturday capsized due to high wind. Rowing is cancelled on Sunday due to the conditions. A condensed schedule will unfortunately mean less recovery time for the Calympians who can win the repechage races.

Women’s Gymnastics - all day

Toni-Ann Williams (Jamaica)

Swimmers - prelim 9 AM, semifinals 6 PM

Kathleen Baker (USA) - Women’s 100 Back

Yvette Kong (Hong Kong) - Women’s 100 Breast

Calympians Medal Count:

2 Silvers (entering Day 2)

Dana Vollmer (USA) - Silver from Women’s 4x100 Free Relay

Abbey Weitzeil (USA) - Silver from Women’s 4x 100 Free Relay
