A good portion of the California Golden Bears contingent was not present at the 2016 Opening Ceremony—most of the Cal athletes in Rio are swimmers and have to keep their regimens going for the next couple of days.

But some prominent Bears were in attendance. Let’s take a look at some of their best moments. Thanks to Ruey Yen for compiling these moments.

Stephanie Au carried the flag for Hong Kong.

Jahvid Best gets a chance to cap off an electric athletic career running for St. Lucia in track and had a big smile on his face; the NBC announcers were quick to mention Jahvid’s affiliation with Cal.

Carli Lloyd is setting for Team USA volleyball in these Olympics and walked the Ceremony in Rio!

Lily Zhang is competing in women’s table tennis and is looking to make a deep run.

Toni Ann-Williams was spotted with the Jamaican delegation.

As was Danny Barrett with the US Rugby 7s team.

Luca Cupido, on the USA Water Polo team, stood just left of Michael Phelps in the front line of the USA delegation.
