Khalfani Muhammad scored the first points of the 2016 college football season by scampering 34 yards for a 7-0 Cal lead.

Soon after the first points of 2016, Cameron Walker got the first interception of the season.

After Hawaii tied the game, Chad Hansen went up to get his first touchdown of the season on a 17 yard throw from Davis Webb.

Hansen then went to the Aussie Rules referee celebration.

Hawaii tied things up again at 14-14, but Cal took the lead for good with a field goal and then a touchdown screen pass connection between Webb and Hansen.

Webb capped off the first half scoring for Cal by running it into the end zone (with an assist from Vic Enwere)

True freshman slot wideout Melquise Stovall did a fake screen and go to put Cal up 41-17 with his first touchdown as a Golden Bear.

Luke Rubenzer recovered a fumble near the end of the game to help seal the win.

Jordan Veasy finished the scoring for the Bears with his first touchdown for the blue and gold and helped Cal drop 50 down under.
