So if you’re a betting Cal fan, this might be the time to take the odds and run! Cal has some favorable ones this season to win the Pac-12, at least from a gambling perspective.

According to NCAA sportsbook TopBet, Cal currently has around 50 to 1 odds to win the Pac-12, and the even longer odds of 500 to 1 to win the playoff. While I wouldn’t recommend throwing your money into the super long bet of Cal to the playoff, 50 to 1 isn’t a bad bet to throw a few dollars on if you really believe the Bears can exploit a Pac-12 that doesn’t seem to feature one strong team. Here’s a quick look at some of the other odds:

Washington Huskies: +275 to win Pac-12, +3000 to win playoff. These odds remain extremely weird to me. Can UDub go that far?

Stanford Cardinal: +300 to win Pac-12, +3500 to win playoff. Kind of gross odds. 3:1 seems pretty real.

UCLA Bruins, +400 to win Pac-12, +5000 to win playoff. These odds feel extremely low for a team losing a lot. The 50 to 1 odds are interesting for the playoff though—if the Bruins do win the Pac, they certainly have talent to win it all.

USC Trojans, +400 to win Pac-12, +2200 to win playoff. This is pretty typical odds for the Trojans. You’re betting large on Max Browne though.

Oregon Ducks, +750 to win Pac-12, +4000 to win playoff. I like these Pac-12 title odds a lot. Oregon is way too talented to have odds this low.

Washington St. Cougars, +800 to win Pac-12, +12500 to win playoff. These odds aren’t too bad either. The Cougars definitely have the offense to make a bit of a move. They need the run game to move.

Utah Utes, +1000 to win Pac-12, +8000 to win playoff. For the Pac-12 South, I don’t mind these. Utah is so solid defensively they could sneak in and give UCLA and USC enough trouble.

Arizona St. Sun Devils, +2000 to win Pac-12, +25000 to win playoff. Hard to trust an ASU team with so much turnover at so many positions.

Arizona Wildcats, +2500 to win Pac-12, +25000 to win playoff. Same sentence as above, just replace Arizona with ASU.

Colorado Buffaloes, +8000 to win Pac-12, +50000 to win playoff. Nope.

Oregon St. Beavers, +10000 to win Pac-12, no playoff odds listed. Double nope.

Cal still remains around three touchdown favorites to beat Hawaii.
