Cal currently 20 to 21 point favorites over Hawaii

Go Bears!

The California Golden Bears opened around three touchdown favorites to the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors. Cal is favored by 20 to 21 points depending on what sportsbook you look at. You can expect this to be the biggest line this season favoring Cal in the 2016 season.

Cal is coming off a season where they won eight games in 2015. The Bears lost most of their vaunted offense, including Jared Goff, Daniel Lasco, Bryce Treggs, Trevor Davis, Kenny Lawler, Maurice Harris and Darius Powe. The Bears are reconstructing around graduate transfer quarterback Davis Webb and a three headed run attack featuring Vic Enwere, Khalfani Muhammad and Tre Watson. In the passing game, freshmen and first year players Melquise Stovall and Demetris Robertson are likely to be featured, as are returning wideouts Chad Hansen and Ray Hudson. The defense is less certain, with a very quiet linebacking corps.

Cal’s easiest opponent of the year has to be Hawaii. The Warriors are coming off a brutal 2015 campaign that saw them win three games, although admittedly one of them was against Pac-12 foe Colorado. Cal has to be careful to keep their guard up.

Cal fans, your thoughts on the line? Which side would you consider betting?
