Biaggio Ali Walsh commits to Cal!
Biaggio Ali Walsh

The grandson of the GOAT is coming to Cal. Biaggio Ali Walsh committed to the California Golden Bears this Sunday and becomes Cal’s first running back commit of the 2017 recruiting class.

Ali Walsh might be the grandson of Muhammad Ali, but he is far more than just the name. He was named the Nevada Gatorade Player of the Year as a junior. 247Sports Composite ranks him as the eighth best player in Nevada and the 11th best all-purpose back. He rushed for 2,200 yards and 30 touchdowns, including an impressive 12 yards per carry for the famous Bishop Gorman program. Walsh has offers from programs as varied as Arizona, Colorado, Dartmouth, Louisville and Vanderbilt.

Here are his junior highlights.

More on Walsh from this MaxPreps feature back from when he was a freshman, where we learn more about the relationship between Walsh and his famous grandfather.

"He's a phenomenal football player," said Gorman freshman coach Rob Burgman. "He's got as much skill and works as hard as any football player I've ever had in 34 years of coaching. And I thought that before I knew who his grandfather was."

And if the football isn’t enough, Ali Walsh is already signed to a male modeling contract.

Welcome to Cal Biaggio! Go Bears!
