Cal football recruiting: Kentucky commit QB Mac Jones offered

Do the Bears have their main target at quarterback?

Cal does not have their 2017 quarterback yet. It's not as big a priority as previous years, with Max Gilliam and Victor Viramontes giving the Bears two faces at the position for 2016, but I'd imagine Cal would still like to keep the tradition of at least one quarterback a year going.

Kentucky commit Mac Jones seems to be a popular target early on this front. Jones took a trip to Berkeley a month ago, and received his Cal offer last week. The 6'2, 180 pound Jacksonville (Fl.) signal-caller is the No. 468 overall prospect in the Class of 2017 and the 24th pro style quarterback.

Here are the highlights of Jones in action. As CGB commenter EchoOfSilence noted, Jones has "good pocket awareness as you see him move up under pressure, he's accurate, keeps his eyes downfield".

Cal fans, what do you think of Jones as our potential 2017 target?
