Could Cal be in the mix for the number one quarterback in the 2017 recruiting class? Tate 'The Viper' Martell from Dorne has reopened his recruitment and decommited from Texas A&M earlier today.

what is best for my future, I have
decided to reopen my recruiting
process.
The 2017 Las Vegas (Nevada) Bishop Gorman dual threat quarterback is considered one of the possible number one prospects at the position. At 5'11 and 205 pounds, Martell committed early to the Aggies. Spavital was the offensive coordinator and was Martell's primary recruiter to the Aggies, but he was not retained this offseason and moved onto Cal.
The coach Tate really connected well with at A&M, Coach Spavital, is now at #Cal, should be a very interesting recruitment moving forward

It's unclear where Martell would want to go next, but you have to figure Cal is somewhere in the mix. Ohio State and USC have been getting some buzz, but is it possible that the Bears could get in there thanks to the Spavital connection.
5-star QB Tate Martell called Cal's @JakeSpavital his "favorite coach" today. What does that mean for the Bears? https://t.co/4OtbkJYv6l

Also, some odd tweets from a Texas A&M coach.
Scared for this next group of kids. There is no accountability and no sense of positivity when it comes to adversity. #selfish #allaboutme
