Cal football gets visit from Texas Tech QB grad transfer Davis Webb; will he flip from Colorado?

Interesting.

Kevin Jairaj-USA TODAY Sports

Cal has a very even quarterback competition. Could another name be added to the mix? A graduate transfer took a visit to Berkeley this weekend.

Former Texas Tech quarterback Davis Webb decided to transfer from the Red Raiders after falling out of the starter role in 2015, losing his role to Patrick Mahomes. Webb was very solid in his first two seasons in Texas Tech in 2013 and 2014, completing around 62% of his passes and had 46 touchdowns to 22 interceptions in two seasons, but struggled with injury and lost his starting job to Mahomes.

The highlight of his career was his demolition of Pac-12 South champion Arizona State in the Holiday Bowl.

Webb originally flipped his commitment to Colorado, and the Buffs seem to maintain that Webb will end up in Boulder. Here's a look at some of the highlights.

Webb would be a graduate transfer and be eligible to play immediately.

Cal fans, what do you think about Webb? He clearly has Air Raid experience and would feel pretty comfortable running this offense.
