Jared Goff NFL Draft Watch: Latest mock has Jared to the 49ers, Kenny Lawler to the Packers

Lawlers hands with Rodgers accuracy? Sounds like a Chicago Bears fan nightmare

Tim Heitman-USA TODAY Sports

We are officially 23 days away from the big draft day in the National Football League. By most NFL analysts account, it seems as though Jared's position as the second quarterback taken is a given. The latest Yahoo mock draft has Jared staying local in the Bay Area with the 49ers. The 49ers had a massive presence at his pro day in Berkeley and Kelly has shown a propensity for pocket passers in his up tempo offense. Add in Jared's experience with the Bear Raid and he could be an ideal fit for the 49ers. If the 49ers end up trading Kaepernick to the Bronco's expect more experts to support the 49ers selecting a quarterback with the seventh overall pick in the draft.

In other and perhaps more exciting (for conversation purposes) news, a few mock drafts have Kenny Lawler heading up to the friendly confines of Lambeau Field. He would join Richard Rodgers and the tad more famous Rodgers in what could be a fearful combination for the next few years. It isn't hard to see Lawler making toe tapping grabs on out routes for the Pack next year. Add in the fact that the Goff-Lawler fade was near indefensible in college, the Rodgers-Lawler connection could be just as fearsome.

Which Cal Bear outside of Goff do you expect to be drafted first? Would you be ok with Goff starting his first year in San Francisco?
