Stephen Anderson signs with the Houston Texans

The former Cal wide receiver/tight end heads to Houston!

Cary Edmondson-USA TODAY Sports

Stephen Anderson is heading to the Texans! Congrats to Mr. Anderson!

Anderson was one of the most intriguing players in the NFL draft this year. The Cal offense doesn't feature a traditional tight end which left Stephen Anderson shifting to a wide receiver position. While there he was one of the most consistent contributors and was also a key possession receiver for Jared Goff. Anderson was counted on time and again in some of the biggest situations and has an incredible story coming from walk on to NFL draft prospect. Let's take a look at his highlights below:

"Anderson finished his Cal career with 101 receptions for 1,260 yards receiving and seven touchdown grabs over 37 games and 25 starts during the last four seasons of his five campaigns with the program after redshirting as a true freshman in 2011. He was both an honorable mention All-Pac-12 selection of the league's coaches and Cal's Ken Cotton Award as the team's Most Courageous Player during his final two campaigns as a 2014 junior and 2015 senior."

Congrats Stephen! Go Bears!
