Recap: Cal beats Oregon State 6-2!
No. 20 California (12-6, 2-2 Pac-12) bested the No. 3 Oregon State Beavers (16-3, 3-1 Pac-12) 6-2 on Friday night at Evans Diamond in Berkeley behind a stellar complete game effort by junior right-handed starter Daulton Jefferies, who improved to 6-0 on the season. The outing was the first nine-inning complete game of Jefferies' career, after having thrown an eight-inning complete game in a loss on May 8, 2015 at Campbell. Offensively, the Bears were paced by senior Nick Halamandaris, who made his first start at first base of the season, and went 2-for-4 with two RBI.
"Even though it is Thursday night, that was a Pac-12 Friday night performance by Daulton just when we had to have it against an elite team," head coach David Esquer said following the victory. "It's big for our team and it gives you a boost of confidence knowing that your guy can do that against the best."

After losing the Pac-12 opening series in heartbreaking fashion to USC, the Golden Bears will look to win their first Pac-12 series of the season, against the very tough opponents in the Oregon State Beavers.
Cal ace Daulton Jefferies (5-0, ERA of 1.09, yes, he's been very very good) will look to be the stopper for the Bears and spoil the Beavers' perfect Pac-12 record (they swept ASU last week).
GO BEARS!
