Jabari Bird did not play in the first half. The first word was that he was sick. The word coming out of halftime is that he has back spasms. He is being reevaluated.
Jaylen Brown continues to struggle. Brown has only one field goal attempt (a layup), and turned the ball over five times, three times on offensive fouls.
Sam Singer also picked up three fouls, leading to a lot of Brandon Chauca. Jordan Mathews has two fouls as well, but does have nine points and Cal's only three pointers.
Chauca, Stephen Domingo and Roger Moute have played a bunch of minutes. They're 0-7 from the field with three points.
Cal has only 1 assist to 9 turnovers, and is 1-9 for three. The Bears are getting to the free throw line a lot, going 11-16 so far. Despite 12 fouls on Cal, Hawaii has 13 of their own.
UPDATE: Jabari is not warming up. Probably out for the game.
Cal players return for second-half warmups. No sign of Jabari Bird.
