The California Golden Bears have another Super Bowl champion, and again he stepped up big! Congratulations to C.J. Anderson for winning the Super Bowl in his own backyard!
Anderson rushed for 90 yards on 23 carries, including ten yards on four carries. Denver had 194 total yards overall, so Anderson was responsible for over half the offense on the game. Anderson punched in the game-clinching touchdown to ensure the title was coming back to Denver.

Anderson has had a pretty impressive rise. The Laney product arrived with the Bears in 2011 and became a huge part of Cal's offense his senior season. Undrafted out of Cal, he signed as a free agent with the Broncos. Anderson broke out last season to become part of the running back rotation with Denver, and became the number one option the last two seasons. And now he was the focal point of the offense on a Super Bowl champion!
For the third straight season, a Ron Gould running back (Marshawn Lynch in 2014, Shane Vereen in 2015) is a Super Bowl champion! As one of them retired tonight, C.J. stepped up to keep the tradition going! Go Bears!
