Cal grad assistant & quality control coach Burl Toler III the new Fresno WRs coach

Toler joins the Bulldogs following a three-year stint at Cal working quality control for special teams. He worked under the direct guidance of Mark Tommerdahl, the Golden Bears assistant head coach and special teams coordinator. Toler, a Cal alum and four-year wide out for the football team (2001-04), was welcomed back to the Bay Area following his professional football career, which included stops in the NFL, NFL Europe, CFL and Arena League. Toler was a walk-on to the Bears' program in 2001 and worked his way to being one of Aaron Rodgers' favorite targets as a junior when he caught 48 passes for 609 yards and three touchdowns.
