Daniel Juarez signs with Cal, faxes in letter of intent

Juarez makes up one of a handful of offensive linemen in Cal's class who could potentially contribute early on.

Daniel Juarez of Corona (Ca.) Centennial is part of a group of offensive linemen in Cal's class who can hopefully get offensive line play heading in the right direction over the next few years.

Juarez is used to playing in big games as he is coming to Cal from one of the best high school football programs in California and the nation.

Here is where he ranks with the major recruiting services:

ESPN: 3 stars, 83rd ranked tackle, 114th ranked player in California.

Scout: 3 stars, 36th ranked tackle.

Rivals: 3 stars, 32nd ranked tackle, 59th ranked player in California.

247sports: 3 stars, 38th ranked tackle, 52nd ranked player in Califronia.

Juarez is a top 40 tackle with three of the four major recruiting service, with ESPN being the outlier, which means he is a solid prospect.

Juarez is listed at 6'5 and anywhere from 270-292 pounds depending on which site you look at.

Cal had to beat Nevada, Texas Tech, UNLV and Washington State to secure Juarez's commitment.

Welcome to Cal, Daniel!
