Logan Gamble is a big target on offense and explosive as a defensive end, though he would have to gain quite a bit of weight to play that position for the Golden Bears.

Assuming he plays receiver, Gamble could be one helluva tight end-type player in Tony Franklin's offensive scheme. At 6'6 and anywhere from 185 to 200 pounds depending on which recruiting service you look at, Gamble would be a HUGE target for whoever plays quarterback over the next few years.
Here is where Gamble ranks with each of the major recruiting services.
ESPN: Three stars, 81st ranked athlete, 88th ranked player in California.
Scout: Three stars, 52nd ranked athlete.
Rivals: Three star wide receiver, 79th ranked player in California.
247sports: Three stars, 38th ranked tight end, 77th ranked player in California.

Cal had to beat Arizona, San Diego State, San Jose State, UCLA, Virginia and Washington State to secure Gamble's commitment. It's easy to see why some of our Pac-12 rivals wanted to sign Gamble when you watch his highlights. Gamble knows how to use his size to get to the ball ahead of the defensive backs and he also displays good quickness in the open field for his size.
