Camryn Bynum signs with Cal, faxes in letter of intent

The Corona (Ca.) Centennial cornerback adds to the depth Cal is looking to build in the secondary.

Tim Heitman-USA TODAY Sports

Camryn Bynum of Corona (Ca.) Centennial adds to the defensive back group of Cal's 2016 class after a highly successful high school football career.

Here is where Bynum ranks with the major recruiting services.

ESPN: Three star, 32nd ranked cornerback, 55th ranked player in California.

Scout: Three star, 50th ranked cornerback.

Rivals: Three star, 83rd ranked player in California.

247sports: Three star, 123 ranked cornerback, ranked 128th in California.

The rankings are all over the place with Bynum, which makes you wonder how four different recruiting services could come to such wildly different conclusions about a player.

Clearly, though, Bynum is a talented and battle tested player who has competed against some of the best players in California throughout his career.

Bynum is also an intelligent young man as he held offers from Army, Navy and Dartmouth to go along with programs like Boise State, Boston College, San Diego State and Washington State.
