Jordan Duncan is the current star wide receiver in Cal's recruiting class. Duncan could be the next star Cal wideout in the Bear Raid attack, and we'll get an early preview of what he can do in spring practice in a wide open wide receiver competition.
Duncan is a four-star recruit according to ESPN.com and Rivals. He is also rated as high as the nation's No. 16 wide receiver and the No. 9 overall player in Mississippi in the 2016 recruiting class according to Rivals, while he checks in as the No. 381 player overall nationally by 247Sports.
Adam broke down Duncan's tape and made an apt comparison. "Duncan possesses good size and could be ready to compete as soon as soon as he hits campus, especially with exodus of receivers that will unfold at the end of the year. Most importantly though, Duncan is an exceptional route runner with a great football IQ. In his tape, Duncan is constantly on page with his Quarterback during extended plays and he is not afraid to go up and catch balls over defensive backs. Duncan could develop into the next Kenny Lawler with his playmaking ability and help to continue the trend of Cal's dominant receiving core.
"Jordan Duncan is an elite athlete," Dykes said. "He's got good size and speed as well as great ball skills. He also has a fantastic work ethic and is one of the most mature young people I've ever met. Jordan is very focused and knows what he wants."
