Happy Valentine's Day everyone! Celebrate with the Cal Bears! Specifically the women's basketball team who hosts Arizona to conclude their three game homestand and a stretch where the men's and women's teams hosted 6 games in a 10 day span. Unfortunately in that span the women have lost both their games so far, but Arizona is by far the easiest matchup.

The game in Tucson was very close, but unfortunately Cal couldn't sustain an early lead, something that we didn't know at the time would be a theme for the season. The Wildcats wound up pulling ahead in the final minutes and holding on the for then-upset victory. Now, the Bears need to exact revenge just to get to 3-11 on the year.

The big story on Friday was Kristine Anigwe being benched for unknown reasons. We can have educated speculation as to why, but that doesn't really matter right now because it appears, according to Coach Gottlieb's Twitter, that she will be back in action today!

So sit back and enjoy today's matchup, which starts at Noon on the Pac-12 Bay Area and Arizona, or check here or @GoldenBlogs for live updates (I'll be on the Twitter account, taking myself on a Valentine's Day date with the women's team. That's not creepy at all right?) GO BEARS.
