Will the Bears enter conference play with a perfect 12–0 record?

The Bears wrap up their non-conference schedule with the Arkansas State Red Wolves, a school I am only familiar with due to their logo that looks like a sobbing werewolf.

The Red Wolves have won just two games—both by 3 points. They have lost 8 games—6 of them by double digits. The best team they have played (Iowa St.) won by 52. This game should not be close.

As you would expect, Arkansas St. struggles in most statistical categories - most obviously, the are not a good shooting team but their defense allows plenty of made baskets. From Cal’s perspective, the most interesting wrinkle is that the Red Wolves are actually OK at forcing turnovers, so this should be another chance for Cal to work on their ball security in an otherwise routine game.

If you’re still up after Cal’s (hopefully thrilling win) game against Virginia, this is your perfect come down—a low key game as the Bears finish off non-conference play and prep for a trip down to the desert.
