Cal MBB Insta-Recap: Cal continues home streak. W. 86-61 over UC-Davis

Finally a healthy team!

NCAA Basketball: UC Davis at California Kelley L Cox-USA TODAY Sports

1st Half:

OH WHAT A HEALTHY BEAR COULD DO. The Bears were near impossible to stop on offense. The Bears were a terror on defense. Charlie Moore capped off a superb first half with a half-court buzzer beater. Charlie had 12 points on 5/7 shooting, 23 from 3 and 4 steals. Ivan Rabb looked to finally be healthy and Cal worked their offense through him at every opportunity. The other big story line from the first half was Cole Welle’s push into the rotation, playing an effective 7 minutes with 4 points on 2/4 shooting.

2nd Half:

The Bears did not let up in the second half, and finished the game maintaining their double digit lead. Ivan Rabb was in foul trouble early in the second half and played only 9 minutes in the second half. Charlie Moore and Grant Mullins paced the Bears on offense. Charlie Moore ended the night with 22 points on 7/9 shooting, 4/5 from beyond the arc, 4 assists, and 4 steals. Grant Mullins returned to fine shooting form with 17 points on 6/7 shooting, 4/5 from 3.
