Taariq Johnson & Jeremiah Hawkins: WR & ATH, Buena Park Coyotes (Buena Park, CA)
The Coyotes beat Troy 42-7 to improve to 9-1 as they head into the playoffs to take on San Juan Hills in a home game.
Johnson tallied just one catch on the night, but it did go 20 yards for a touchdown. Hawkins continues to miss out due to injury.

Chase Garbers: QB, Corona del Mar Sea Kings (Newport Beach, CA)
Corona del Mar took down Irvine 70-6 to finish the regular season with a 9-1 record. The Sea Kings’ first playoff game will be against Murrieta Mesa.
Garbers completed 16 of 24 passes for 414 yards. The Sea Kings’ star quarterback also contributed five touchdowns, with one of them being of the rushing variety.
His highlight video can be seen below, and he makes a number of nice throws in this video. My personal favorite is on a corner route towards the end of the video as Garbers tosses the ball over two defenders into the only space he could, and the receiver makes an excellent grab.
Michael Onyemaobi: ATH, Chaparral Pumas (Temecula, CA)
It’s been a rough season for Chaparral as they entered their season finale having lost seven consecutive games. The Pumas ended their season on a high-note by earning a 9-3 victory over Temecula Valley to end their season with a 2-8 record.

Gabe Cherry: DE, Centennial Golden Hawks (Bakersfield, CA)
Centennial snapped a three-game losing streak by defeating Frontier 49-33 to end the season with a record of 3-7.
Je’Quari Godfrey: CB, Bishop O’Dowd Dragons (Oakland, CA)
The Dragons beat Leandro 26-0 to improve their record to 9-1 as they head to the playoffs to take on Terra Linda. Godfrey made a few tackles in this contest that you can see in this video below.
Biaggio Ali-Walsh: RB, Bishop Gorman Gaels (Las Vegas, NV)
The Gaels defeated Sierra Vista 56-7 to complete an undefeated regular season at 11-0. Bishop Gorman’s first opponent in the playoffs will be a severely overmatched Palo Verde squad.
Ali-Walsh rushed nine times for 118 yards and three touchdowns in this contest.
Tyriq Hardimon: DB, Lassiter Trojans (Marietta, GA)
Hardimon and the Trojans suffered a second consecutive defeat to end the regular season with six wins and four losses. They resoundingly lost 41-0 to Etowah and will look to rebound in the playoffs against McEachern. Hardimon makes several tackles and big hits to breakup passes even though his team was down by a substantial margin.
Marquese Taylor: ATH, Lovejoy Wildcats (Lovejoy, GA)
The Wildcats had a week off, but will return to the gridiron in the playoffs when they take on Richmond Hill.
Jordan Genmark-Heath: ATH, Cathedral Catholic Dons (San Diego, CA)
Genmark-Heath and the Dons finished their regular season 10-0 after defeating Madison 31-7. They will have a week off before taking on Torrey Pines in the playoffs. Genmark-Heath rushed for a touchdown and also notched an interception.
Michael Saffell: OL, Edison Chargers (Huntington Beach, CA)
The Chargers took down Huntington Beach 42-6 to finish the regular season 9-1. Edison faces off against Newbury Park in the playoffs next.
Paul Scott: LB, McClymonds Warriors (Oakland, CA)
Scott and the Warriors whipped Oakland 38-8 to improve to 8-1, but their regular season is not yet over as they will play Oakland Tech to close it out before the playoffs.
Alex Funches & Da’Quan Patton: DE & LB, Trinity Valley C.C. (Athens, TX)
Trinity Valley avenged their early-season loss to Northeastern Oklahoma A&M by a 48-40 margin to earn a berth in the Southwest Junior College Football Conference championship game against Kilgore College.
Patton and Funches combined for 13 tackles in this contest.
Check back next week to find out how Cal’s commits performed in the first round of playoff games!
