Chase Garbers: QB, Corona del Mar Sea Kings (Newport Beach, CA)

Corona del Mar advanced to the section championship after defeating Lompoc 35-34 to improve to 12-1 this season. Garbers completed 19 of 31 passes for 329 yards, four touchdowns and one interception.

Next up for the Sea Kings is a matchup with 13-0 Sierra Canyon and their fierce pass rush.

Here is an excerpt from the Los Angeles Times on the game against Lompoc:

Chase Garbers led CdM (12-1) back from 18-point deficit in the second half. No team had scored more than 14 points in a game against Lompoc, and somehow the Cal-bound quarterback threw four touchdown passes in the second half. Half of his touchdowns went to Reese Perez, for 90 and 62 yards.

Garbers, who only had 27 passing yards and no touchdown passes in the first half, threw for 300 yards in the final two quarters. The last 19 yards went to a freshman, John Humphreys, at a critical moment.

Garbers, a senior, trusted the youngster with the game on the line, and Humphreys came up with the game-winning touchdown with 45 seconds to go. Garbers went to the Humphreys, who broke a tackle on the left, before extending the ball over the goal line to complete a 19-yard touchdown.

"Lompoc is one hell of a team," said Garbers, who was intercepted once and rushed 14 times for 50 yards and a touchdown. "We're moving on to the CIF championship."

The Sea Kings ended Lompoc's perfect season, handing the Braves their lone setback of the year.

Je’Quari Godfrey: CB, Bishop O’Dowd Dragons (Oakland, CA)

Godfrey and the Dragons took down Rancho Cotate 37-34 to advance to the section championship and improve to 12-1 this season. Godfrey notched two tackles and one interception in this contest.

Next up for the Dragons is a meeting with 11-2 Marin Catholic.

Biaggio Ali-Walsh: RB, Bishop Gorman Gaels (Las Vegas, NV)

Bishop Gorman beat Arbor View 56-17 to advance to the state championship game against 12-1 Liberty. Ali-Walsh rushed 10 times for 138 yards and two touchdowns. He also lost a fumble.

Jordan Genmark-Heath: ATH, Cathedral Catholic Dons (San Diego, CA)

Cathedral Catholic improved to 12-0 this season by mauling Mission Hills 44-21 to advance to the section championship game. Genmark-Heath rushed three times for 12 yards and one touchdown. On the defensive side of the ball he registered five tackles.

Genmark-Heath recently posted this picture of himself and fellow commit Michael Onyemaobi photo-shopped into Cal gear on Twitter.

Michael Saffell: OL, Edison Chargers (Huntington Beach, CA)

Saffell and the Chargers improved to 12-1 and advanced to the section championship game by defeating Rancho Verde 32-28. Next up for the Chargers is 11-2 La Mirada.

Paul Scott: LB, McClymonds Warriors (Oakland, CA)

McClymonds dominated Castlemont 49-12 to win the section championship despite losing Scott to an ankle injury early during the season.

Alex Funches & Da’Quan Patton: DE & LB, Trinity Valley C.C. (Athens, TX)

Funches, Patton and the Trinity Valley Cardinals will take the field next Monday against Northwestern Mississippi in the Heart of Texas Bowl.
