Cal MBB Insta-Recap: Cal without Bird. Cal wins 71-61.

1st Half:

The story of the game was Ivan Rabb’s first game after his rusty showing against SDSU. The offense ran through Ivan to start the game as he had 4 shots in the first 5 minutes of the game. (Cal had 10 shots as a team.) Stephen Domingo continued his trend of ice cold shooting not making a single one of his 6 shooting attempts in the first half. Charlie “Buckets” Moore led the team with 12 points on 3/6 shooting, ¹⁄₃ from 3 and 5/5 from the charity stripe and 3 assists to go along with all of that.

2nd Half:

Charlie Buckets. Czar Ivan. The Bears went to the two of them early and often and was it effective. Ivan wanted the team to go to that combination early after the loss against SDSU, and Cuonzo made sure of it. Charlie, Grant, Ivan and Roger led the Bears with 18, 14, 12 and 12 respectively. Ivan Rabb ended with a double double, from his 12 points and 10 rebounds. Charlie ended the game with team high 6 assists.
