1st Half:
Cal came out of the gates sluggish along with SDSU, and by the first time out, both teams shot under 25% from the field. Only 1 Bear made more than 1 shot and that was Don Coleman. Sam Singer was 1/5. Grant Mullins was 1/6. Stephen Domingo was 0/4. Charlie Moore was 1/3. WHAT WAS GOING ON. SDSU on the other hand got back on track and ended the half with 42 points led by 13 from Jeremy Hemsley. SDSU dominated the paint scoring 14 points. They also capitalized off of 8 Cal TOs leading to 10 points. A positive for the Bears was that Ivan Rabb played in his first game, albeit it was from the bench, and showed a lot of rust. He air-balled his first shot and missed his second wide right of the basket.

2nd Half:
The Bears caught fire in the second half and narrowed the gap by 8, but after a 4-point swing by SDSU, the Bears could not recover. Cal was paced in the second half by Ivan Rabb and Charlie Moore. Ivan had a double-double in his first game back with 19 points on 6/10 shooting, 7/10 from the line, 11 rebounds, 2 blocks and 1 steal. Charlie Moore had a stellar outing after his 38-point performance against UCI. He ended the game with 17 points on 7/9 shooting 2⁄3 from 3.

What did you think of the game Cal Fans? How was Ivan’s return to the court? What does our team need to work on the most?
