Cal Foursome Earns All-Pac-12 Honors

BERKELEY – A pair of juniors and seniors from the California men's soccer team earned All-Pac-12 honors for the 2016 season the conference announced Tuesday.

The 33 member-team was selected by the conference coaches who could vote for 22 players, excluding players on their own team.

The quartet of Golden Bears includes seniors Christian Thierjung and Nick Lima and juniors Jose Carrera-Garcia and Paul Salcedo-Borrego.

This year's selections for all four of the starters mark their second consecutive all-conference nod. Defender Lima and forward Thierjung grab first team honors for the second year in a row, while forward/midfielder Carrera-Garcia earned his initial first team honor after being selected to the second team a season ago. Salcedo-Borrego, a forward, earned consecutive honorable mention nods.
