Pleasant news for Cal fans! Cal left tackle Aaron Cochran may be available for Saturday night’s game against Washington.
#Cal HC Sonny Dykes says Aaron Cochran's prognosis is better than expected. May even play Saturday: https://t.co/McVvKul7tz

Cochran reportedly had a broken foot according to the Cal radio broadcast during the game, but if Cochran is potentially ready on such short notice it sounds like the injury wasn’t too severe. Cochran’s return would prove valuable for a Cal offensive line that has mostly made it through the season without serious injury.
If Cochran cannot go, expect Patrick Mekari to again take Cochran’s place at left tackle.
There are no real updates on the two other major injuries. Chad Hansen has now missed two straight games with an ankle injury. You’d suspect he’d be probable for Saturday’s game since it was supposedly a day-to-day issue the last two weeks, but you can never be sure. Likewise with Cal cornerback Darius Allensworth, who did not play against USC with a hamstring.
It’s a waiting game.
