Most of the Cal highlights from tonight’s game are above. Here’s a quick rundown of all the key stats from tonight’s win.
Davis Webb’s five touchdowns should briefly propel him to the top of the FBS this season with 27 touchdowns in all. He is already fifth all-time in Cal history in terms of single season passing touchdowns.
Cal’s running backs also had a big night.
Tre Watson (154) and Khalfani Muhammad (148) each rushed for over 100 yards in back-to-back games. The last time Cal had two rushers with back-to-back 100-yard performances was in 2004 - J.J. Arrington and Marshawn Lynch against Washington and Stanford.
Cal now holds the record for most plays in an FBS game with 118. Cal also did not commit a single turnover, which is also a new record in terms of most plays without a turnover in a game.
Cal and Oregon combined to set an FBS record for total number of plays in a game with 203.
Cal and Oregon had the highest over/under (89.5) in college football history. They broke it in overtime and finished with 101.
Cal remains unbeaten at home (3-0) and winless on the road (0-3).
Cal has now had five of their last six games come down to the final play, and the sixth basically came down to the final two minutes.
Interestingly, Cal’s overtime win over Oregon came ten years to the date of Cal’s overtime win over Washington, which was also sealed by a linebacker (Jordan Kunaszyk, Desmond Bishop) picking off the game-clinching turnover.
