Ira Lee, one of the top power forwards in the country, had the California Golden Bears in his final three, but has decided to take his talents elsewhere. In fact, that elsewhere will be Pac-12 rival Arizona.

Even after this Ira? WHY OH WHY.

Lee was probably one of Cal’s top targets on the board. Cal still has a very solid 2017 recruiting class comprised of Juhwan Harris-Dyson, Jemarl Baker, and Trevin Knell, but they’re all guards. Cal could really use a big man in this class to prepare for a post-Ivan Rabb career. Arizona already had the top recruiting class in the country before Lee’s decision, and they figure to be as fierce as ever come 2017-18.
Cal still has Marcus Lee and Roman Davis at the power forward spot to tide us through next year, but the Bears still probably want at least one big in this class.
Cal fans what are your thoughts on the decision? How much will this come back to haunt us?
