Cal swept in Beaver State, loses to Oregon State 77-71

Ick.

Troy Wayrynen-USA TODAY Sports

Cal shot 50% from the three point line (8 out of 16!) and 52% from the field. They held Oregon State to 43% shooting and only allowed seven three point attempts in all.

Cal got great games from Jaylen Brown and Tyrone Wallace, Ivan Rabb had another double double. Jordan Mathews broke out of his shooting slump.

The Bears had a great second half and made a huge game of it.

Cal lost.

Turning the ball over 16 times, missing eight free throws, and giving up 15 offensive rebounds will do that to you.

Cal is now 11-0 at Haas Pavilion and 1-5 away from Berkeley. The Bears need to figure out their road problems in a hurry, because they have a lot more trips they need to take, starting next week.

The Bears need to rebound and beat the Trees now. Nothing else matters but the win in Palo Alto on Thursday.

Go Bears!
