Cameron Goode reaffirms commitment to Cal over Vanderbilt and Nebraska

Goode News Everyone!

Bob Stanton-USA TODAY Sports

After committing to the California Golden Bears way back in August, Spring (Texas) Klein Collins linebacker Cameron Goode kept his options open and decided to take a look around and see what other opportunities were out there. The Nebraska Cornhuskers have been persistent in their recruitment of Goode since the beginning, and the Vanderbilt Commodores got an official trip a week before that.

Goode finally made his official visit to Cal this past weekend, and decided soon after that Berkeley is the place to be.

Goode has firmed up his verbal to Cal, and thank goodness! Goode is a hard athletic hitter who has great measureables and will be a potential rotation player in the next year or two. The openings at linebacker are there for Goode.

The Golden Bears now can count on having at least one linebacking commit in this class. Cal is still after several other recruiting targets at the position, but it's still unclear whether any of them are super into the Bears. It would be nice if the Bears can finish strong here and secure all positions of need in this class.

Go Bears!
