The California Golden Bears are still targeting some very impressive recruits on the national radar. The most impressive is Savannah (Georgia) athlete Demetris Robertson, a five-star consensus top 20 national recruit who has kept Cal on the radar all recruiting cycle.
Sonny Dykes and Jacob Peeler recently paid Robertson a visit.

Robertson could play practically any position on the field if he committed to Cal. He'd be an immediate contender to start in the secondary, and would almost certainly see playing time as a wide receiver/offensive option. Robertson does kind of have that Keenan Allen feel--great possession receiver who also has the capability to be one heck of a safety too. It would all depend on his preferences on that side of the ball.
Obviously it would be nice to land Robertson, but Cal is probably decided underdogs here. Notre Dame is the current favorite, and other programs like Georgia, Georgia Tech, Stanford and Alabama could still lay claim here. Robertson will visit Alabama this weekend and Georgia Tech the final week before coming to a decision. Robertson already took an official visit to Cal last fall and really liked what he saw of Berkeley.
Robertson will make his decision on National Signing Day. Could Cal get two five-star surprises from the state of Georgia in the span of a year?
