Cal cornerback Cedric Dozier will graduate from UC Berkeley, transfer

Best of luck Cedric!

Kelley L Cox-USA TODAY Sports

The California Golden Bears will have to deal with another departure at a critical position a year early. Cornerback Cedric Dozier will use his final year of eligibility at another program. He will graduate from the university this spring and then move onto another program to play his senior season as a graduate transfer.

Dozier finished with 11 tackles in 2015 as Darius White and Darius Allensworth took the bulk of snaps at cornerback this season. With a host of young talent from this class and last class coming in at cornerback, the Bears should be okay at this position, although it stinks to lose a contributor like Dozier to an early departure and watch him play at another program.

This is the third graduate transfer for the Bears this offseason, as Dozier joins linebacker Michael Barton and running back Jeffrey Coprich in leaving the program after this spring. It's the fifth in two years.
