The California Golden Bears are moving up the triangle number sequence after decleating Grambling State. They received one vote in the AP poll in the preseason, and now they've moved up to three votes in all from both of the major polls. Cal is ranked 40th in the AP poll with two votes and managed 46th in the coaches poll with one vote.
Cal is tied with future national champion Stanford in the Coaches Poll with a vote apiece, and has one more vote than Stanford in the AP Poll. Good job by the Bears to stay up with our elite rivals down south, but it's a long season and there's a lot further we have to go.
Five Pac-12 teams are currently ranked: Arizona State and Stanford dropped out, while Utah moved in to join Oregon, USC, UCLA and Arizona. Cal will probably not be ranked unless they win three or four more games, so nothing really to think about too seriously right now.
