Cal remains the lone undefeated team in the Pac-12 North after their huge road win over Washington. The Bears are 4-0 for the first time in 2007 after sweeping through September. This is the first time since September 2007 that Cal has gone undefeated in a college football calendar month (September, October, November), when the Bears were 5-0.
Cal does trail their archrival Stanford in the Pac-12 North standings, who stand alone at 2-0 after dispatching Oregon State on Friday night. The shocker is Oregon going down in flames to Utah in their conference opener, as they fall into a three-way tie with the Huskies and Beavers at 0-1. Cal's next opponent is Washington State, who had a bye week on Saturday and remains 0-0 in conference.
Although it's early, the South appears like a three-way race now that Arizona and Arizona State got dismantled at home by UCLA and USC respectively. Utah and UCLA stand at 1-0 each, with the Bruins and Utes the only other undefeated teams besides Cal. USC is at 1-1. Arizona and ASU are both 0-1 in the Pac-12, and Colorado has yet to play their first Pac-12 game.
Pac-12 teams are 6-0 on the road so far this season.
Here are the standings for the conference.
