How to Watch Cal at Texas: TV time, schedule and online stream

Tune in for the big game in Austin!

John Hefti-USA TODAY Sports

Here comes the big one. Your 2-0 California Golden Bears are headed to the land of delicious BBQ for a prime time football game against Texas. Many Cal fans still have the painful memories of JJ Arrington receiving a bogus flag late against Southern Missouri, which seemingly threw the polls in favor of Texas for the Rose Bowl. This game, while certainly won't make up for all of 2004, would definitely be a good start.

Cal squares off against Texas in a match-up that features two programs trying to reassert themselves on the college football landscape. Behind the scenes, Texas seems to be in disarray. Charlie Strong recently relieved his offensive coordinator and the university just let go of their AD. However, on the football field they are a program on the mend. Texas is led on defense by true freshman Malik Jefferson, who has quickly become a household name in Austin, while redshirt freshman Jerrod Heard had a great debut last week.

The Bears come in with a head of steam having won their last two games by big margins. The revamped Cal defense faces perhaps its stiffest test of the year to date and will certainly be pushed much further than the previous two games. Jared Goff and the Bear Raid will work to try and put another game out of reach early with a balanced attack and many aerial fireworks.

Time: 4:30pm Pacific, 7:30pm Eastern
